Returns & Refunds

At Zawadi, almost everything we make is personalised and produced to order — printed specifically with your photo, names, or message. This policy explains when returns, replacements, and refunds apply. Zawadi is the gifting brand of Brixara (GSTIN: 33BDDPA5227L2ZT), Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
The short version: Because personalised items are custom-made, we can't accept change-of-mind returns. But we send you a free design proof before printing, and if your order arrives damaged or is different from the proof you approved, we'll replace it free.
Why personalised products are different
A mug, frame, or cushion printed with your photo and message has no resale value to anyone else — it's made uniquely for you. For this reason, and in line with standard practice for custom-made goods, personalised products are not eligible for return or refund for change of mind, incorrect choices, or buyer's remorse.
To protect you from this, we send a free design proof on WhatsApp before we print anything. You review the photo, spelling, and layout, and we only go to production once you approve it. This proof-approval step is your opportunity to catch and fix anything — so the final product matches exactly what you signed off on.
What is and isn't covered
- The product arrives damaged or broken in transit.
- You received the wrong item.
- The product has a clear manufacturing or printing defect on our side.
- The final product differs from the proof you approved.
- Change of mind after approving the proof.
- Errors in details you provided (spelling, photo, dates) that were visible in the approved proof.
- Low-quality or blurry photos you supplied, where we flagged or printed as approved.
- Minor variation in colour/screen vs. print within normal printing tolerance.
- Damage caused by misuse after delivery.
A note on colour: Screens display colour differently from printed products, and slight variation is normal. We colour-calibrate our printing to keep results true to life, but minor differences between your screen and the final print are not considered defects.
How to request a replacement
If your order qualifies under "Free replacement" above:
- Contact us within 48 hours of delivery via WhatsApp or email.
- Share clear photos of the product and the packaging showing the issue.
- Once we verify the issue, we'll arrange a free replacement at no cost to you. We do not require you to ship the damaged item back unless we specifically request it.
Order cancellations
- You may cancel for a full refund before you approve your design proof, as production hasn't started yet.
- Once you approve the proof and production begins, the order cannot be cancelled or refunded, as the item is already being custom-made for you.
Refunds
Where a refund applies (for example, an eligible order we're unable to replace):
- Refunds are issued to your original payment method.
- Once approved, refunds are typically processed within 5–7 business days; the time for funds to appear depends on your bank or payment provider.
Bulk & corporate orders
Bulk and corporate orders are produced to an approved sample or proof. Replacement of defective or damaged pieces within a batch is covered as above; full-batch returns for change of mind are not available. Specific terms are confirmed at the time of your order.
